She was born Juliana Rosalba Maria Theresa Mostosi on August 2nd 1920,in London, England, dying 7th?June 2000 at the age of 79. Her father was head waiter at the Savoy , and as a child she studied piano and music., deciding on a singing career in the 1930s. Singing as Juliana Mostosi she was booked at the then famous Quaglinos Restaurant , Piccadilly London, performing with Alf Van Straten and his music. Changing name to Julie Dawn, she made her first record that year
