
Juan de la Bermeja Sevilla (Zamarramala, ¿? - Toledo, April 18, 1642) was a Spanish composer and master of a chapel. He was born in Zamarramala, a town in the municipality of Segovia, on an unknown date, the son of Juan de la Bermeja and Catalina de Sevilla, also originally from Zamarramala. He entered as an infant of the music chapel of the Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma on December 29, 1608, where he is supposed to be musically trained. On June 7
