About Juan Alexis Medina Barcelo
Leximan was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1974 under the influence of Reggae, Rumba, Afro-Cuban music, Congas and Comparsas. When he started his artistic career he got his first inspiration from traditional music, salsa and Bolero. In 1999 he began to feel an attraction for a different genre - the fusion of Rap, Salsa mixed with Afro-Cuban rhythms. These were incorporated into his first experiments as a solo artist.
