Josephus Andreas Fodor (21st January 1751, Venlo - 3rd October 1828, St Petersburg) was a Dutch violinist and composer. Brother of both Carel Anton Fodor and Carel Emanuel Fodor, he was sent to Berlin to study with Franz Benda. In 1780 he made his debut at the Concerts spirituels and thereafter toured as a virtuoso, although he also taught in Paris beginning in 1787. In 1792 he was appointed to the Imperial chapel in St Petersburg, where he remained for the rest of his life.
