José or Joseph Amiguet, was a Catalan composer and chapel master born in Tarrasa (province of Barcelona) around 1703 to 1705. After the death of maestro Clemente Barrachina at the beginning of 1728, the position of chapel master of the Albarracín Cathedral became vacant. Oppositions to the chapel magisterium were called for the first half of May of that same year, 1728, being the examiners, Agustín Mesa, organist of Albarracín and Luís Pastor, master of the chapel of Teruel.
