Jonathan Halper is the virtually anonymous architect of the atmospheric and stirringly post-modern soundtrack to notable avant-garde filmmaker Kenneth Anger's 1966 edit of the 1949 short film, "Puce Moment". The six and a half minute contribution contains two distinct songs, "Leaving My Old Life Behind" and "I Am A Hermit", and reflects a stirring fusion of traditional folk sensibilities and airy, psychedelic musical experimentation; shockingly these two songs represent Halper's lone extant contributions to the popular musical canon.
