About Jonas Ruchenhever
Jonas Ruchenhever made his first sound work when he was fourteen, using a variable speed cassette recorder, a four-track reel-to-reel machine, a couple of microphones, a cheap acoustic guitar, a lot of household appliances, and, when he had the money to spare, a rented Arp Odyssey. Three years and a pile of tapes later (mostly filled with hardly bearable stuff) he abandoned making sounds to pursue other creative interests. Decades went by, and in 2005 Jonas quietly returned to creating sound works: audio collages
