About Johnny Reno and his Sax Maniacs

Johnny Reno is an accomplished saxophone player, singer and musician. He was an original member of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Double Trouble in 1978 and 79. Johnny fronted his own bands throughout the 1980's and from 1990 through 1995 was a featured member of the Chris Isaak band. Johnny Reno Biography by Jason Ankeny Best known as the frontman of the jump-blues revival unit the Sax Maniacs, tenor saxophonist Johnny Reno was also among the most prominent sidemen on the contemporary Texas blues circuit.
