Using just a Thumb and One Finger, guitarist John O’Hara doesn’t employ predictable tempo and syncopation; the hallmark for most players using only one finger. Instead he tells his narrative with a freestyle approach using various tunings and often on-the-fly tempo. His tunes range from bursting how-many-notes-per-minute do you want, to sometimes haunting, slower, more melodic pieces. From My Window is O'Hara's first recording in over twenty years, following his now out of print recordings The Teller & The Listener, and Waiting for Winter.
