John Molineux (born in Los Angeles, CA, in 1947) is an American-born French folk musician and instrument-maker. He was a member of The John Renbourn Group. Molineux moved with his parents to Vancouver prior to the family taking the boat from Montreal to Liverpool in 1950. Though they moved around a bit, the family was living in the Birmingham area at the time he first became interested in traditional folk music at the age of 17. His initial love was acapella singing. He subsequently learnt to play guitar, mandolin, fiddle and whistle.
