
John Golding started singing in clubs around 1966 when he was 19 years old. At that time he was doing a lot of Joni Mitchell material and eventually started doing his own songs about three years later in '69 and then turned professional in 1973. "Writing and performing go hand in hand for me," he said. "The actual reward for writing a good song is performing it. I wanted to make albums because I think if you're a songwriter you must make your music available. People cant use your songs if they never hear them"
