John Cottingham is a songwriter and performer who lives in Homer, Alaska. Originally from Manchester, England and raised on the Buzzcocks and the Clash (a 14-year-old Cottingham and his friends were dragged through a dressing-room window by Joe Strummer so as to circumvent the 18-and-up door policy at a Clash show), his muse dragged him all over the world, from Amsterdam to Aspen, before depositing him, his guitar, and his love of Woody Guthrie on the shores of Kachemak Bay.
