Johannus Franchois de Gembloux (fl.Early Fifteenth Century) was a Franco-Flemish composer. A chaplain at the Burgundian court in the early fifteenth century unlike many of his Franco-Flemish contemporaries he stayed in his native land rather than seeking his fortune in Italy. His style in some ways marks the transition between those of the late fourteenth century and early fifteenth century; one of his isorhythmic motets opens with an unusual and impressive trumpet-like introductory passage
