
John Wanning (also Wanningus, Wannigk, Wannicke or Nick Wang) (Kampen , 1537 - Danzig , 23 October 1603) was a Dutch composer, choirmaster and singer primarily active in the Baltic region. It is not known where and by whom Wanning music followed. In 1560 he enrolled as a student at the University of Konigsberg . Here he was, until 1567, Altus connected to the music chapel of Duke Albrecht of Prussia . In 1569 he became Kapellmeister of the board chapel
