Johannes Flamingus (died around 1598) was a Flemish-German Kapellmeister and composer of the Renaissance. Not much is known about his life. From 1565 to 1567, he worked in Leiden as a zangmeester; the fifth and sixth volumes of Leiden choral books created on Pieterskerk (Leiden) contain 62 works in his characteristic manuscript. 32 of these works are marked with his name, the others are also attributed to him. In 1571, Duke Johann Albrecht I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin appointed him court chapel master and head of the "Hof-Cantorej"
