Johann Peter Guzinger , also Johann Petrus Gulzinger (born June 2, 1683 in Tussenhausen; died May 6, 1773 in Eichstätt) was a German composer, chamber musician and violist. Little is known about the life of Johann Peter Guzinger. Various sources show that he was court and chamber musician to the Bishop of Eichstätt between 1726 and 1740 and was therefore a member of the court orchestra. He was particularly well known and appreciated for his virtuoso playing of the viola d'amore , for which he also composed.
