Johann Michael Malzat (born 21st April 1749 in Vienna; died 13th May 1787 in Innsbruck) was an Austrian composer of classical music. Johann Michael Malzat, was the son of the Bohemian musician and composer Josef Malzat (1723–1760), who worked as a violinist at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, among others. Johann Michael came to Tyrol at a young age, probably as a singing boy at Kremsmünster Abbey. Later he worked in Lambach Abbey and Stams Abbey
