About Johann Georg Weichenberger
Johann Georg Weichenberger (December 11, 1676 in Graz – January 2, 1740 in Vienna) was an Austrian lutenist , composer and imperial official of the Vienna court accounting. Like Wenzel Ludwig Freiherr von Radolt , the Graz merchant's son Johann Georg Weichenberger was not a full-time musician. In addition to his main job, Weichenberger established himself with the former as one of the most influential lutenists in the Austrian-Bohemian region at the beginning of the 18th century.
