Johann Friedrich Ludwig Thiele (born November 18, 1816 in Harzgerode, district of Quedlinburg ; died September 17, 1848 in Berlin) was a German organist and composer. He was also called Carl Ludwig Thiele. Thiele received his first music lessons from his father, who worked as a singer in Berlin. Later he was a student of August Wilhelm Bach . Thiele soon showed his musical ability, especially on the organ, on which he developed an extraordinary talent.
