Joe is from outside Dallas, Texas, but now lives in the Lower East Side, NYC. He has been in bands of almost every genre imaginable, playing anything from classical to grindcore. In his most recent project, joehasthisname, he is trying to portray the stagnant, creepy, yet nostalgic parts of growing up in suburban/rural Texas in the 1990s. Borrowing influences from just about anywhere, you can find flavors of Black Moth Super Rainbow/Tobacco-like synths, Dr. Dre-like finesse, and Debussy-like chordal structures.
