The year was 1957 A rock-a-billy artist from Western Massachusetts by the name of Joe Therrien Jr recorded a song Called "Come Back To Me Darling" (also called "Roses Are Blooming"). The song was a big hit in New England even though it was considered the "B" side of the record. The "A" side "Hey Babe Let's Go Downtown" did better in the rest of the nation. The original cut was done on Lido Label and later on the Brunswick label both of which I have in my personal collection. Joe Therrien was backed by "The Rockets"
