About Jo Skaansar
Jo Fougner Skaansar belongs to the young Norwegian generation of jazz musicians, with a modern playing style and expression. He was born in Oslo, Norway 8th of July 1984. Started playing piano by the age of eight, took up the double bass four years, and the electric bass five years later. From 04-08 Jo was a student at the jazz department in the University in Trondheim, Norway studying jazzbass with Steinar Raknes, Gøran Sjølin, John Pål Inderberg and Mats Eilertsen.
