
Jimmy Lewis (born James Eddie Lewis Jr., Itta Bena, Mississippi, USA, November 25, 1937 - September 10, 2004) was an American soul musician, songwriter and producer whose songs include "Message to the Ladies", "That Won't Stop Me from Loving You," and "I Can't Leave You Alone". He worked with Ray Charles and wrote songs for Z. Z. Hill. He was in the 1960s' line-up of Bill Pinkney & the Original Drifters. He died in 2004 (aged 66) in Los Angeles, California.
