Around 1955 or so, Jimmie Logsdon was doing radio shows in Louisville, Kentucky and recording on the Decca record label. He started relatively late in the music business, not doing anything until he left the Air Corps. He just decided he wanted to be a hillbilly music entertainer and before you know it, he had a contract with Decca. In 1955, the band backing him up was known as the Golden Harvest Boys. hillbilly-music.com
