
Jessica Leigh Harp (born 3 February 1982 in place Kansas City, Missouri, United States) is an American singer-songwriter known for her heartfelt lyrics and pop country style. From an early age, Harp showed a natural passion for music, singing at age 3, writing her first lyrics at 8, and learning guitar by 13. She launched her solo career with the independent release of Preface in 2002. Her career took a new turn when she joined Michelle Branch on tour as a backup singer, later performing the song The Good Kind as part of Branch's live shows.
