About Jesper Koch
JESPER KOCH (b 1967 ) Jesper Koch studied composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and Aarhus with Andy Pape, Colin Mathews, Karl Aage Rasmussen, Ib Nørholm and Olav Anton Thommesen. In 1988 he was awarded the Carl Nielsen Bursary of Honour, and in 1992 he was the first Danish composer to win the 1st Prize of the category 'Composers below 30' at Rostrum in Paris with the work Ice-Breaking. Jesper Koch was awarded a three-year grant from the Danish Art Council in 1994
