
Jerry Dowell is a Kansas City Poet, Singer/Songwriter, Red Dirt Country Blues/Jazz Guitar Slinger. Having learned guitar while growing up on the windswept prairie southwest of Dodge City Kansas, his influences range far and wide including the Stevie Ray Vaughn Texas Blues sound as well as ZZ Top, Frank Zappa and Jeff Beck. As a composer he paints with a broad brush, his style moving through Bob Dylan and Bruce Cockburn to Country Ballads, barroom Blues Stomps and Sax splattered Jazz.
