Eccentric, independent duo project launched in 2000 by Peter Wix (Continental Film Night, Tellerman) and Alicante artist Juan Aís, who turned their plans to produce a socially provocative magazine into a songwriting and recording venture. Fruit of this, two critically acclaimed albums: Lovely Cardoons, a 13-track Frankensteinian collection in 2001, out on the duo's own label, Vile Beauty; The Recall Code, a more coherent 9-track album produced by David Sheppard (Phelan Sheppard; Ellis Island Sound
