Jeanjacket Shotgun were described as "the Posies minus Ken Stringfellow," in a few reviews, though while the outfit was Jon and Joe Bass, Brian Young only appears on two of the tracks released on the 2001 album Collides Again. (Joe's daughter Brette, of their band Skyward, also provides vocals on a couple of the songs.) Collides Again's cover shot is a re-interpretation of James Gang's Rides Again (1970), the band Joe Walsh used to play with before the Eagles. Jeanjacket Shotgun covers James Gang's song 'Collage' on their album.
