About Javi
Growing up with a latin percussionist father who played Madison Square Garden with his Grammy Award-winning cousin Ricardo Marrero and opened for the Temptations at the legendary “Thrilla in Manilla,” music is in Javi’s DNA. Despite his father’s percussive passions, Javi fell for smooth songbirds. “Sade’s voice always had a dark seductive quality that I loved. Also Aaliyah had that same vibe over those amazing Timbaland beats.” Javi reminisces.
