Jardins de Pedra emerged in the post-industrial region of Almada/Seixal in the aftermath of the portuguese punk rock explosion of the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1997 they recorded a demo tape entitled "Liberdade Decadente" containing two acoustic numbers, two rock numbers plus two other tracks captured live in the studio. This is the sole surviving studio recording of this band. Form the demo the track "Lisboa" was a clear standout and gained air time in local radios.
