About Japanese Super Shift
Formed in 2005 by Stefnir Gunnarsson as an outlet for synthdriven pop songs while being at the helm of the now defunct rock outfit Lada Sport. After gaining some attention on its own, the project recruited various musicians to perform the songs live - which at the time were only available as low bitrate mp3's on an underground music website called Rokk.is. Stefnir continued to use the name as a vehicle for his own songs, not intended to be used and arranged by Lada Sport.
