Jake Kirk was born on Halloween. And his music can sometimes be as spooky as the holiday. His first album entitled “Thick Skin,” features a historically accurate portrait of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Kirk rhymes in a strange accent, as the fictional character named Irvin. He describes Lincoln’s apparent nightmare that he had before his death about seeing himself in the casket. Kirk stutters throughout the track while giving a witness statement to a constable from the 18th century.
