About Jacobus Flori
Jacobus Flori, also Jacobus Florii (ca. 1550 in Maastricht (?) - active between 1571 and 1588) was a composer from the Franco-Flemish School of polyphonists. Jacobus is presumably the son of Francesco Flori the Elder (or Franciscus Florius ) and grew up with his father, who worked in Munich from 1557 to 1588 , where Orlando di Lasso was also appointed in 1556 . In the opening words of his preface to the collection Modulorum aliquot ... Flori introduces himself:
