About Jacinto do Sacramento
Frei Jacinto do Sacramento (c.1712-1780) was a Portuguese composer who was born in Lisbon. Few bibliographic sources exist for this musician. At the age of sixteen he took his vows to enter the Order of St. Paul. Apart from being an excellent harpichorsdist and organist, he was considered one of the best Portuguese singers and composers of the mid-eighteenth. His catalogue includes several Toccatas and Sonatas for organ or harpsichord.
