Ignaz (Adamus Ignatius Franciscus de Paula Josephus) Malzat (Vienna, 4 March 1757 - Passau, 20 March 1804) was an Austrian composer and oboist, son of Josef Malzat (1723-1760). As early as 1774 he was a court musician in Salzburg and is supposed to have been a pupil of Michael Haydn. After travelling in France, Italy and Switzerland he became oboist in the parish church at Bozen (1778) and in May 1788 entered the service of the Prince-Bishop of Passau.
