About Ida Moberg
Ida Georgina Moberg (b. 13 Feb 1859, d. 2 Aug 1947) was a Finnish composer and conductor. She was born in Helsinki, and took piano and singing lessons as a child. She studied at the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra School with Richard Faltin and Jean Sibelius, and at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. She continued her education at the Dresden Conservatory with Felix Draeseke and studied the Dalcroze method in Hellerau and Berlin. After completing her education, she began work as a music teacher and composer.
