About Ida e Os Voltas
In late 1984, punk artist Ida Feldman and her father Aron Feldman, the legendary 'gaúcho' marginal filmmaker, censored by the Brazilian military dictatorship in the 1970s, decided to relocate from Santo André to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, to start a new life. Formed at the end of 1985, Ida E Os Voltas would emerge in flourishing Brazilian post-punk’s Belo Horizonte post-punk scene, after Ida meets Bruno Verner, Aleca (A. de Alexandria), Frederico Pessoa and Bernardo Rennó; longtime friends who lived in the same tower block
