About Houshang Kamkar
Hooshang Kamkar (Kurdish: Hoşeng Kamkar; Persian: هوشنگ کامکار ), born 1946, is a Kurdish musician from South-Eastern Kurdistan (Iran) and member of the ensemble Kamkaran. He was born in Sanandaj, a city in Kurdistan province in Iran. He started his musical training with his father, Hassan Kamkar. Later, he attended the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran University, the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome and the University of San Francisco in USA.
