About Housecoat Project
San Francisco based bluesy psychedelic punk band of the mid/late 80's fronted by female punk scene icon Meri St. Mary. They released a debut LP/Cassette on Subterranean Records in 1987, toured the US shortly afterwards (partly on Jagermeister's dime) and dissolved into a mysterious drug addled heap circa 1989. A second album was recorded, and made it as far as the test pressing phase, but the label went broke before it was released. Where Are They Now:
