Hossein Alizadeh (Persian: حسین علیزاده), is a distinguished Iranian composer, Radif-preserver, researcher, teacher, and excellent tar and setar instrumentalist and improviser, dubbed by many as an Ostad (i.e. Maestro) of Persian music. He is considered by critics to be one of the most influential artists of his generation. He has made numerous recording with prominent musicians including Shajarian, Nazeri, Khaladj, Gasparyan, etcetera.
