Honey Locust is an acoustic based band that utilizes a variety of instruments such as viola, banjo, piano, accordion, ukulele, mandolin, guitars, horns, percussion, and bass. With focus on dynamics, intricate textures and meticulously crafted melodies, Honey Locust works to push the boundaries of contemporary folk music while maintaining connection with their traditional roots. Founded in the summer of 2011 by Jake Davis and Patrick Howell and based in Nashville TN, the band operates with a rotating team of musicians and collaborators.
