Vancouver reggae band Hoffman Lenses is the brainchild of singer, songwriter, arranger G Lazarus. Their sound mixes hypnotic guitar-lines and soulful vocals with poignant lyrics. While they focus mainly on building layered Tosh-esque reggae grooves, they don't shy from changing genres on the fly--mixing funk, ska and hard rock elements into their sound. It's like Marley meets Radiohead, or Sublime meets Rage Against The Machine.
