Established in 2002, the Hillsdale Wind Symphony (HWS) is a combination college course/community symphony. It attracts members mainly by word of mouth to the surrounding area. There are some members, though, who travel from 1-3 hours away just to rehearse for and play in the concerts. All have a certain drive to participate in the love and passion for music with people who share the same feeling. That drive brings the group together as a family, despite the vast differences in profession and personality.
