Herzbeat Hotel are the manifestation of Damien Yates and Anton van Ringe's preoccupations with the transfixing abilities of sound. These two former theology students continuously dig under the surface for forgotten shamanic rituals, historical synchronicities and psychic sinergies, lingering over the glow of shamans, alchemists, fakirs and silent movie stars, always keeping in mind (but not necessarily agreeing with) Bob Dylan's polemic outburst, "the problem with musicians these days is that they don't fear God anymore".
