Hersir is a Swedish black metal band formed in 2016 in Gothenburg. They play a style of black metal inspired by the early 90s scene, focusing on themes of Norse mythology, paganism, and anti-Abrahamic religions. The band consists of Grim Vindkall (all instruments, backing vocals), S.S. (vocals), Viga (guitars), and Askr (bass). Hersir's music is characterized by its stripped-down, raw sound, reminiscent of bands like Darkthrone, Enslaved, Emperor, and Isengard.
