Hailing from the outer eastern suburbs (Ringwood, Lilydale), Her Tortured Embrace creates melodic rock in the vein of bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree, Muse, Dream Theater, and classical pieces created in yesteryear. Recently a hardcore element (Killswitch Engage, Underoath, Atreyu, Still Remains) has been fused with the above mentioned sound to create Progcore Her Tortured Embrace has been together for 4 years, working on the songs that will grace the up coming full length album due for release late 2007.
