
Getting together in 1998 between dual vocalists/guitarists Chris Zerby and Julie Chadwick, Helicopter Helicopter took shape in 1998 with drummer Ned Gallacher and a number of revolving bassists. Based out of Boston, MA, the band would bring out a power-pop sound that would be compared to the Fastbacks and the Replacements upon the 1998 release of their first album Squid’s and Other Fishes through Lunch Records.
