About Held In Scorn
HELD IN SCORN was created by Ray Marquez (ex- Dark Hail) and Derrick Scott (ex-Setrip) in the Spring of 2003 via the now defunct website www.powerslave.com The 1st line-up of Held In Scorn included guitarist Mike Butler (ex-DeadEyedStare) as well as drummer Mike Chavez (ex-Lythic) and bassist Phillip Pathoumnorack (ex-Lythic). Both Mike Butler and Mike Chavez left the band early. Matt Young (ex-Awakened By Dreams and ex-Tragic Culture) took over guitar duties and Hobart Thomas (ex-Sore.) replaced Chavez on drums.
