Heino (born 13 December 1938 in Düsseldorf as Heinz Georg Kramm) is a German singer of popular music (Schlager) and traditional Volksmusik. With his booming voice, bright blonde hair, and ever present sunglasses (due to Graves-Basedow disease), Heino is considered a national treasure in his native Germany, and an icon of kitsch in the English-speaking world - no doubt due to his resemblance to Andy Warhol and Bingo Rimér and the Latin American
